On Thursday, October 17, 2024, Student Government Association, in collaboration with the Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council, and the National Panhellenic Council, hosted their second annual Pink Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event included a lap around campus, a meal for participants, and guest speakers to share their stories.

On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, WKU’s Student Wellness Program hosted its annual event, Healthy Days, at the Raymond B. Preston Health and Activities Center. The event was themed “Waves for Healthier Days.” Attendees were welcomed to mocktails, free immunizations, STD testing, raffles to win prizes, and a dance fitness performance.

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, Dr. Miwon Choe, Professor in the WKU Art Department, hosted an event called “Unity of Diversity” at the Joe Downing Museum. In honor of the 1974 establishment of the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center and the plethora of alumni who have since dedicated countless hours to their undergraduate and professional careers, stories and pieces from P-12 art educators and students alike were on display throughout the museum. Composed of over 400 pieces of art, presentations by guest speakers, faculty, and students, and a musical performance, the event served to showcase all that past, present, and future WKU art students have to offer. The exhibition continues through April 27th.

On Wednesday, April 3, WKU hosted a gallery exhibit located in the ISEC Gallery in DSU. The exhibit was organized with the intention of spreading awareness surrounding sexual assault and victim blaming. Representatives from Hope Harbor and the WKU Counseling Center held booths outside of the gallery to provide resources, light refreshments, and support.

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosted a ‘De-Stress’ event on the lawn in front of DSU for students. CAB collaborated with 7 Brew Coffee to provide students with free coffee, energy drinks, and entertainment as they prepare for upcoming exams.
